Richland County, Town of Lexington Pass Mask Ordinances

Richland County Council voted Thursday evening to require face masks be worn in most commercial buildings. The ordinance goes into effect Monday and will last 61 days.

Forest Acres City Council earlier today unanimously approved a mask requirement. Their mandate goes into effect Monday and stays in effect for 60 days.

And the Town of Lexington passed an ordinance which took place immediately requiring face coverings inside retail and commercial businesses open to the public.

DHEC today announced another 1,629 new confirmed cases of coronavirus, bringing our total number of cases statewide to 39,587

19 deaths were announced, bringing South Carolina’s new death toll to 777.
