Earthquake Hits North Carolina and Felt in South Carolina

(Undated) -- An earthquake is to blame for waking up several people across four states yesterday morning. 

The 5.1 magnitude earthquake struck just after 8 a.m. southeast of Sparta, North Carolina. 

It was felt in Tennessee, Virginia and here in South Carolina. 

Yesterday's temblor was the largest in more than 100 years. Sparta is just to the south of the Virginia-North Carolina border.
