Dominion Energy Requesting Rate Hike For South Carolina Electric Customers

(Columbia, SC) -- Dominion Energy is requesting the utility's first rate hike in eight years.

The proposed increase is a bit under eight-percent for electric customers in South Carolina. That would be an increase of nine-dollars and 68-cents per month on average for customers using a thousand kilowatt-hours of electricity a month.

If the rate hike is approved, it would go into effect in March of 2021.
