(Columbia, SC) -- DHEC announced 869 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 yesterday, bringing the state's total to 108,146 since the pandemic began.
They also announced 42 more deaths, but those occurred over multiple days.
Of those who died of the virus, 33 were elderly, and nine were middle-aged.
