Trump Opposes Drilling Off SC Coast

(Washington, DC) -- Some environmentalists are skeptical about President Trump's latest announcement about oil drilling.

Trump said yesterday he'll make the South Carolina coast off limits for oil drilling for 10 years, starting in 2022. Drilling could still happen off Virginia and North Carolina, though, and the Southern Environmental Law Center says that could still affect the water off South Carolina, especially if there's an oil spill.

Republican Senator Lindsey Graham tweeted he very much appreciates that Trump listened to the state's residents and is delivering for the people.
