(Columbia, SC) -- Richland County teachers are mourning the loss of one of their own due to the coronavirus.
District Two officials announced yesterday that Windsor Elementary School teacher Demetria Bannister died Monday of COVID-19.
The 28-year-old taught at the Columbia school for five years, teaching fifth and third-graders.
Superintendent Dr. Baron Davis says Bannister's legacy will live on through the lives of her students.
