(Columbia, SC) -- Just weeks after the death of her daughter, an award-winning nurse has died of coronavirus.
Twenty-eight-year-old Richland Two teacher Demi Bannister died from COVID-19 complications on September 7th.
Her 57-year-old mother Shirley was hospitalized with the virus a few days later.
Shirley Bannister had taught nursing at Midlands Technical College before her passing.
