Over 2,500 Mail-In Ballots Dismissed Over Lack Of Witness Signature

(Columbia, SC) -- Over 25-hundred absentee mail-in ballots are being thrown out in South Carolina.

That's because they are missing a witness signature, according to the State Election Commission.

There was a legal battle this year regarding that signature, ending with the Supreme Court ruling that the witness signature is required in the Palmetto state.

The number of ballots being dismissed for not having one is expected to increase as the state accepts more absentee ballots today.
