Republicans In South Carolina Pick Up U.S. House Seat

(Columbia, SC)---With the exception of James Clyburn’s expected win in U.S. House District 6, it was a sweep for Republicans in U.S. House races in South Carolina.

The tightest race of the night was in District 1, where Nancy Mace was declared a winner unseating the incumbent, Democrat Joe Cunningham.

Congressman Joe Wilson easily turned back a challenge from political newcomer Adair Boroughs picking up nearly 60% of the vote in District 2.

Elsewhere, GOP incumbents Jeff Duncan, William Timmons, Ralph Norman and Tom Rice easily won their races.
