South Carolina Has First Flu-Related Death Of The Season

(Pee Dee, SC) -- South Carolina is seeing its first flu-related death of the season. 

DHEC says someone from the Pee Dee region died from complications due to the flu. 

Health officials recommend everyone six months of age and older get a flu shot, stressing the importance of staying healthy during the pandemic. 

Getting the flu and COVID-19 at the same time could cause more complications than just having influenza.
