Walmart, Sam's Club Distributing COVID-19 Vaccines Upstate

(Greenville, SC) -- Some Upstate retailers are now giving out the COVID-19 vaccine.

Walmart and Sam's Club began distributing doses in Greenville, Easley, Laurens, and Spartanburg yesterday.

The vaccine is still in Phase 1A in South Carolina, meaning it can be distributed to health care workers and those ages 70 and older.

To get an appointment at Walmart or Sam's Club, residents must go through the CDC's Vaccine Administration Management System website.

Next week, the retail stores plan to launch their own appointment websites.
