DHEC Reports Fewer Than 700 New Covid Cases

(Columbia, SC) -- For a second day in a row, there are less than one-thousand new coronavirus cases being reported in South Carolina. 

The Department of Health and Environmental Control announced 655 new cases yesterday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 429,494 since the pandemic began. 

An additional 50 confirmed COVID deaths were also reported yesterday. DHEC says one of those deaths dates back to November, two are from December and one is from January, but most happened within the past week.
