(Columbia, SC) -- Some COVID-19 vaccines allocated for South Carolina residents have gone to residents of other states.

The Department of Health and Environmental Control released new data yesterday.

It said over 2,400 of South Carolina's doses went to people from Georgia, more than 8,400 went to those from North Carolina, and over 9,000 doses went to residents from other states.

That makes up for 2.8-percent of the doses administered in the Palmetto State.
