Standardized Testing To Happen In South Carolina This Spring

(Columbia, SC) -- Standardized testing will happen in South Carolina this spring.

The state's Department of Education had asked the federal government to waive the assessments, but the request was denied.

The state testing window opens April 15th, with schools required to complete assessments in the last 30 days of the academic year.

Still, there will be no penalty for a student not taking a test.
