New School Buses Being Funded In South Carolina

(Columbia, SC) -- New school buses are being funded in South Carolina. 

Governor McMaster and South Carolina Superintendent of Education Molly Spearman announced the new program yesterday. 

The state's share of the Volkswagen Environmental Mitigation Trust will be used to buy 235 new propane-fueled school buses. 

It will also go toward the purchase of three electric transit buses to be used in Charleston and Florence.
