South Carolina Pauses Use Of Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 Vaccine

(Columbia, SC) -- South Carolina is pausing use of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine per the recommendation of the FDA and CDC.

This comes after six cases of a rare blood clot disorder out of the nearly seven-million doses of the single-shot vaccine.

The Department of Health and Environmental Control told all vaccine providers to stop giving out the Johnson & Johnson vaccine yesterday.

Health officials are working to get over vaccine doses to clinics that were planning to use Johnson & Johnson.
