(Columbia, SC) -- South Carolina teachers could be seeing a pay raise.
A one-thousand dollar pay raise and a 2-percent step increase was already in place, but was in a freeze last year during the pandemic.
But the thousand-dollar annual pay raise is back in the 2021 to 2022 budget approved by the Senate Finance Committee this week.
The budget now heads to the Senate floor for debate.
