Future Unclear For South Carolina's Open Carry With Training Act

(Columbia, SC) -- With a week left in the General Assembly, the future is unclear for the Open Carry with Training Act.

If passed, the bill would let licensed people openly carry a handgun. To be licensed, South Carolina residents would need to pass a background check and an approximately eight-hour course.

The House passed the Act last month, but it has not yet been voted on in the Senate.
