(Columbia, SC) -- Former Congressman Joe Cunningham has raised over $400,000 just 48 hours into his campaign for South Carolina governor.
The Democrat announced his gubernatorial bid on Monday.
Campaign officials say the money raised so far is more than Republican incumbent Governor McMaster has raised in the first quarter of 2021.
Cunningham represented the state's First Congressional District for one term before being defeated by Nancy Mace in November.
