(Columbia, SC) -- South Carolina's governor candidates are weighing in on the marijuana legalization debate.
Former U.S. Representative and Democratic candidate Joe Cunningham says he will push for both medical and recreational legalization if he is elected governor.
Incumbent Republican Governor Henry McMaster is opposed to recreational marijuana, but says he would look into medical cannabis legislation.
This comes as U.S. Senate Majority Leader Senator Chuck Schumer introduced a bill to regulate marijuana on a national level.
