Hazy Skies In South Carolina Caused By Wildfires In Canada

(Columbia, SC) -- Hazy skies will be over much of the northern part of South Carolina.

That's because of smoke that reached the Palmetto State from wildfires burning in Canada. So far, over a million acres have burned.

DHEC says the worst of the smoky conditions will be this morning... causing potential eye irritability, respiratory difficulties, and the ability to make chronic heart and lung diseases worse.
