University Of South Carolina Repeals Mask Mandate After AG's Legal Opinion

(Columbia, SC) -- The University of South Carolina is no longer requiring face masks on campus.

Last week, they announced the mask mandate would be in effect inside all campus buildings.

This week, Attorney General Alan Wilson issued a legal opinion that public universities could not require masks.

The repeal of the mandate went into effect Tuesday, but school officials are still encouraging the use of masks indoors.
