USC Wants State's Supreme Court To Decide On Mask Mandate

(Columbia, SC) -- A professor with the University of South Carolina wants the state's highest court to decide if the university can have a mask mandate in place.

Professor Richard Creswick is suing the school and the South Carolina Attorney General after the university revoked their mask requirement this week. Creswick's wife is immunocompromised.

A proviso in the state budget says schools that require masks cannot get state funding, but Creswick's attorney says the proviso does not prevent mask mandates at higher learning institutions.
