(Columbia, SC) -- A group that advocates for South Carolina teachers wants masks to be required in schools.
SC for Ed is calling for city leaders to put mask mandates in place.
The group says the proviso in the state budget doesn't stop cities or counties from enacting such rules.
But, Governor McMaster and the Attorney General disagree, saying requiring masks in schools would violate state law.
