South Carolina's Open Carry With Training Act Now In Effect

(Columbia, SC) -- South Carolina's Open Carry with Training Act is now in effect. 

The new law lets state residents with a concealed weapons permit openly carry a gun in public. 

The permit holder must be at least 21-years old and have taken an eight-hour training as well as a background check. 

The Palmetto state is the 46th to have an Open Carry with Training law in place.
