(Colleton County, SC) -- A man is in custody in connection to the shooting of Alex Murdaugh.
The former lawyer was superficially wounded on September 4th, telling police he was shot in the head while changing a flat tire.
SLED has charged 61-year-old Curtis Smith of Colleton County with assisted suicide, assault and battery, and fraud.
SLED officials say additional charges are expected in the case.
