(Columbia, SC) -- Severe weather is being forecast for the Midlands this week.
The National Weather Service says thunderstorms will start Monday afternoon into Monday night, bringing wind gusts that could reach 60 miles per hour.
The storms could have the potential to develop tornadoes, particularly north of Columbia.
More severe weather could hit the area Wednesday night into Thursday.
