(Orangeburg, SC) -- Metal detectors will soon be installed in every school in the Orangeburg County School District.
This comes after three students were shot in the Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School parking lot in August.
The district announced on Wednesday that the metal detectors will be paid for using Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief funds.
Older models are already in use alongside hand held detectors until new shipments arrive.
