Bill To Ban Some From Requiring COVID-19 Vaccine Heading To Senate

(Columbia, SC) -  A bill to ban some from requiring the COVID-19 vaccine is heading to the South Carolina Senate.

The House passed the bill last week after an amendment took out a rule that prevented private businesses from requiring the vaccine for workers.

Instead, employees who are fired because of vaccination status can file for unemployment benefits, under the legislation.

The Senate isn't returning to work until January.
