DHEC Updates Quarantine Guidance For Teachers, School Staff

(Columbia, SC) - Schools across South Carolina are adjusting to new quarantine guidance.

The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control changed what it recommends for teachers and staff members exposed to COVID-19.

Those who do not show symptoms of the virus must have a negative test on day five after being exposed.

The new guidance then instructs them to wear a mask for ten days after the exposure.
