65 Million In Claims Filed Against Murdaugh Estates Over 2019 Boat Crash

(Colleton County, SC) - The victims of a 2019 boat crash are filing 65-million-dollars in wrongful death and personal injury claims against the estates of Paul Murdaugh and his mother, Maggie Murdaugh.

The family of 19-year-old Mallory Beach filed claims of 25-million dollars against each estate for her death, and two survivors of the crash filed claims totaling 15-million dollars.

Maggie and Paul were both found dead in Colleton County in June of 2021.

Paul Murdaugh previously faced charges in connection to the boat crash, but the attorney general's office dropped the charges.
