South Carolina Lawmaker Trying To Get Lethal Injection Drugs In The State

(Columbia, SC)-- A South Carolina lawmaker is working on a bill to get lethal injection drugs into the state.

State Senator Greg Hembree's proposed legislation would implement Shield Laws, which would protect the identity of drug companies that would supply the lethal injection drugs.

In the meantime, legislators have made the electric chair or firing squad options for executions.

Richard Moore is scheduled to die by firing squad on April 29th, but his lawyer has filed a motion questioning the constitutionality of that method.
