South Carolina Inmate Facing Charges For Threatening President, VP

(Columbia, SC)-- An inmate at a South Carolina prison is now facing charges for allegedly threatening to assassinate the president and vice president. 

Eric Anthony Rome is serving time at Kirkland Correctional Institution in Columbia for an armed bank robbery in Greenville County in 2019. 

Now he's accused of making threats to President Biden and Vice President Harris on eight separate occasions between July of 2020 and February of 2022.

 He was indicted by a grand jury on the charges this week.
