Bill Banning Trans Athletes From Girls & Women's Sports Passes State Senate

(Columbia, SC) -- A bill banning transgender students from girls and women's sports is advancing in the South Carolina State House.

The state Senate passed the proposed bill on a 30 to ten vote on Wednesday.

It was approved by the House in April.

If signed into law by Governor McMaster, the ban would apply to elementary school, high school, and collegiate level athletics.
