Woman And Teen Accused Of Displaying Loaded Firearm At Columbia Mall

(Columbia, SC) - A 40-year-old woman and a 13-year-old are facing charges for allegedly displaying a loaded firearm to a Columbia mall. 

Police responded to the Columbiana Centre Tuesday night and found the two near the food court. 

Police say surveillance video shows La'Kenyatta Moore-Rhodes giving a loaded nine millimeter firearm to the teen. 

She's charged with pointing and presenting a firearm, unlawful carry of a firearm, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. 

The boy is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a person under the age of 18, unlawful carry of a firearm and pointing and presenting a firearm.
