Extra Two Cent Charge Per Gallon Of Gas Being Added July 1

(Columbia, SC) -- Drivers in South Carolina will soon see gas prices go up even more.

On July 1st, an extra two-cents per gallon will be charged. It's the final increase as part of the South Carolina Infrastructure and Economic Development Reform Act passed in 2017.

This marks the sixth consecutive year for an increase in the state. The extra two-cents per gallon will pay for road, bridge, and infrastructure work.
