Record Number Of South Carolina Residents Quit Their Jobs In March

(Columbia, SC) --A new report from the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce shows a record number of people have quit their jobs. 

The newly-released data shows an estimated 90-thousand people quit their jobs in the Palmetto state in March. 

In the same month, approximately 122-thousand workers were hired. 

Wages for private sector workers increase 9.2-percent compared to April of 2020.
