Alex Murdaugh Waives Rights To Disbarment Hearing

(Columbia, SC) -- Alex Murdaugh is waiving his rights to a disbarment hearing.

A hearing before the Supreme Court of South Carolina was scheduled for Wednesday, but Murdaugh requested it be canceled and the court agreed.

A formal decision on whether to disbar Murdaugh will still happen at the same time that the former attorney faces 79 charges from 15 state grand jury indictments.

It is unknown when the state's highest court will release their decision.
