The U.S. Geological Survey is confirming two more earthquakes near Elgin.
The first was a magnitude three-point-five quake that happened just before 2:45 p.m. Wednesday. Then a three-point-six quake hit just after 7 p.m.
This marks the strongest earthquake in South Carolina in eight years.
