(Kershaw County, SC)-- No arrest is being made after a social media threat was traced to Hawaii.
An online source threatened the Lugoff-Elgin High School on Monday.
The Kershaw County Sheriff's Office says the threat was shared by a fake account and was determined to not be credible.
Further investigation tracked it to someone in Hawaii who was impersonating a student, but due to the distance, the department is unable to make an arrest.
