South Carolina National Guard In Puerto Rico For Relief

(Columbia, SC)  --  The South Carolina National Guard is heading to Puerto Rico to assist in recovery efforts from Hurricanes Maria and Irma.  

Governor Henry McMaster announced yesterday that 150 troops are deploying to the U.S. commonwealth this weekend.  

The South Carolina troops are part of a relief mission of 750 National Guardsmen from four states that are landing in San Juan beginning today.
