Keeping Your Pet Safe During Today’s Eclipse

Millions will be viewing today's solar eclipse, and hopefully safely with approved, specialty eyewear, and devices, but have you bothered about your pets?

Their retinas are just as easily damaged, should they look up at the sun, during the 2-3 minutes of darkness. Veterinarians remind pet owners, to keep their dogs and cats indoors, so they will not look up at the event, when the skies grow dark, early this afternoon.

If pets are outdoors, bring them inside, away from the sun's light, and save their sight. They may also act somewhat skittish with the faux-darkness early this afternoon.
