Reward Offered In Lugoff Train Derailment Case

Florida-based railroad company CSX is offering a five-thousand-dollar reward for information leading to an arrest in the case of derailment that happened earlier this month in Kershaw County.

The Kershaw County Sheriff's Office announced yesterday that the August 5th derailment of a dozen trains in Lugoff was caused by someone who left a bulldozer on railroad tracks near U.S. Highway 601.

The incident caused significantly damage to the railroad track. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
