The South Carolina Red Cross is answering the call to assist in the recovery effort in Texas following Hurricane Harvey.
Fifty-two workers statewide were dispatched to Houston, Rockport and Corpus Christi to join the scores of volunteers from throughout the country helping in the storm-ravaged Gulf coast.
Governor Henry McMaster also offered the assistance of the South Carolina Emergency Management Division to support first responders on the ground in Texas.
