Seems as though any display of the American flag these days is going to trigger somebody.
First it was the Betsy Ross flag that washed up, former NFL QB Colin Kaepernick convinced the suits at NIKE was a symbol of slavery in our country. Of course he never cared much for the flag anyway.
Now it’s the Gadsden flag, you know the “Don’t Tread On Me” flag. Hollywood star Chris Pratt triggered the left when he stepped out wearing a t-shirt featuring it. Pratt was immediately criticized by the snowflake crowd as being a “white supremacist”.
Note the quote from a Yahoo article that originally ran the headline “Chris Pratt Criticized for White Supremacist T-Shirt.”
“Although it is one of the symbols and flags used by the U.S. Men’s Soccer Team, Metallica, as well as some libertarian groups, over the years the flag has been adopted by Far Right political groups like the Tea Party, as well as gun-toting supporters of the Second Amendment.”
Did you note those last two groups? So now anyone who supports the Tea Party, the Second Amendment or both is now a “white supremacist”?
When did that happen???
I’m only half joking when I say don’t be surprised if someone doesn’t get triggered one day by your flying or wearing the American flag and accuse you of being a “white supremacist”!
