19 More Women Sue Lyft Over Sexual Harassment

Another 19 women have filed lawsuits against Lyft, claiming the rideshare service failed to prevent drivers from sexually harassing them and failed to react to subsequent complaints.

The lawsuits, which follow 14 that were filed in September, bring the total number of official sexual harassment complaints to 33. "It’s not just the fact that these sexual assaults happened," says San Diego attorney Michael Bomberger. "It’s about the cover-up."

News of the lawsuits comes the same day Uber, another rideshare service, admitted 235 women reported being raped by their drivers in 2018.
