(Columbia, SC) -- South Carolina is at what one lawmaker calls a crossroads on the future of solar energy.
A House committee yesterday voted to eventually eliminate subsidies for homeowners who install solar panels, while another committee voted to lift a cap on the number of homes that can use solar power.
Eliminating the subsidies could hurt the growth of solar power, but lifting the cap could encourage its expansion.
