(West Columbia, SC) -- Samsung Electronics is doing its part to help those with unique medical needs get the help they need in the event of a hurricane.
The company yesterday donated 35-thousand dollars to the Harvest Hope food bank, which also provides electricity and refrigerators during an emergency.
That can be a lifesaver for children like six-year-old Carter Sears, who takes medicine that needs to be refrigerated.
His mom remembers panicking last year during Hurricane Irma when the power went out, and she says this will give her one less thing to worry about.
