The First District congressman yesterday in Washington discussed his loss in the Republican primary this week to Katie Arrington. On Election Day, President Trump Tweeted his endorsement of Arrington, and Sanford says the race was a test of who supports Trump more.
After Arrington's win, Trump Tweeted that Sanford was a bad candidate, but Sanford says what's bad is the very tribal political environment in the country right now.
