(Columbia, SC) -- A political newcomer is celebrating a win over a ten-year incumbent in Richland County.
USC law student Kambrell Garvin yesterday beat Joseph McEachern in the Democratic primary runoff in State House District 77.
The 26-year-old Garvin got 70 percent of the vote, unofficially, in his first run for office. In three Republican state house races yesterday,
Neal Collins won the runoff in District Five, Paula Rawl Calhoon won District 87 and William Cogswell, Junior won District 110.
